Covenant of Vigilance: Death’s Hands Part 1: A Night at the Docks_B

(I am never sure how to feel that the Covenant of Vigilance, half the time not sure where I'm going with them or I'll end up anywhere with them. I was sitting on my best friends bed one day thinking about Saturday morning cartoon wonder what it would be like if I wrote one. So I came up with this superhero group that was just for my mind for me to play around with. I have been spending a couple years now just writing for them, rewriting them, not sure of the worth my time but I always find myself coming back to them. So for now I'm going to release a little bit of what I have done. You are free to let me know what you think went ahead with.)

(I have been writing for the CoV for over two years now.)

Ten O'clock,

It's about a message and we send messages all the time. Sometimes, most the time it just with our eyes. We can tell people who don't even know us how we feel with just one look. It's a message, a message of coming over here and talk to me or get the hell away from me. And Silent, the black hooded and cloaked assassin of the Covenant of Vigilance, the one that thinks of himself as nothing more than a killer, is sending his own message right now.
A message that his leader Divine, a man trap in his own home (an underground base called the Sanctuary) wants a mob boss to understand. Divine has the power to read minds, talk with them, move them if he wishes but right now he's sending a message with the duel blades of Silent.
The assassin jumps around the room as the flashes of gun fire lights his way. He teleports from one spot to the next, killing the men protecting the mob boss. He pushes his blades into each of them, thinking about everything Divine told him about these people. How some of them have children or some them are about the get marry. Even one them is trying to get out of the mob, lucky for him Silent is here to help with that.
Silent whisperers in a hoarse voice, “I don't know if this, will make you feel any better---but I'm really enjoying myself,” as the last man looks up at him. His life is leaking out from the holes in his lungs and Silent can’t help but think if what they say is true? Can David with his blues eyes feel his life escaping from his body? Is cold, like the movies tell everyone it is? Silent pushes one of the blade deeper into David's chest, cocks his head to the side, watching the last moments of his life fade away.
The man reaches up trying to rip the masks from Silent face. The black mask with yellow eyes and two red scars running down through both eyes, ending at a point above his chin, but Silent moves his head out of the reaches of the dying man. Almost as if the mask, taking it off, would be remove Silent's face. As if the killer, the assassin, feel more like a human in the dark cloak, the black hood, and mask hiding his face. The man's arm just fall to his side as his life ends.
The door to the small star ship opens with a naked young girl, a prostitute standing there, screaming in Silent's face. He tosses her out of the room as the mob boss hold the other girl by the neck, a gun to the side of her head. He yells everything you think he would yell. He tries to keep Silent at bay but the assassin doesn't care about the girl, why would he?
The mistake the boss made was pointing the gun at Silent. He teleport in a flash, taking the gun away from him, freeing the girl. She disappears from the room as Silent puts the blade under his chin, handing him a box. “Why is the Clan of Shadow here?”
It was a fair question, the dull golden gauntlet around Silent's right hand, was telling the boss he was a member of the Clan but that was a long time ago. The gauntlet known as a Cleric can’t every be remove once they are put on. It's a curse and a blessing; it's heals the wearing, giving them powers, like teleportion, but can’t every be remove, always letting everyone know he is an assassin.
“I want you,” Silent whispers, “to tell the MacMhurrich Family that 2nd Earth is off limits, do you understand?”
“I do.”
And like that Silent was gone, and like that the ship was falling to the water below in a ball of fire. He watches from the shore as the pieces of metal drop into the water. He bends down, washing his blade off and then washing the blood from his hands.
“Divine,” he calls inside his head.
“Yes, old friend?”
“The mission, it's done.”
“Are you coming home?”
“No, the night is still young.”

“Very well,” the voice stop and Silent is left with his thoughts. He sits down admiring the flames on the water when a voice; not Divine's, not his own, but some one inside his head yell for him to help. It was a girl, a young girl, yelling inside his mind. He jumps to his feet and looks around but nothing. Nothing but the darkness and the cold hearten city.
